These vegan chocolate covered strawberries are a great dessert or gift on Valentines Day and Mother's Day. I actually make them anytime I find strawberries on sale. It's a great healthy way to enjoy a little chocolate without eating an entire bar!Special Tip: See the optional add-ins and directions below to decorate your chocolate covered strawberries.
Set up a double boiler: Add some water to a small pot, place a heat safe bowl over the top of the pot so that it seals but does not touch water.
Cover a plate with parchment paper, set aside.
Bring the water to a boil, then add the vegan dark chocolate and coconut oil to the bowl. Mix the chocolate as it melts.
Once the chocolate is completely melted, dip the strawberries into the chocolate. Spoon over as needed.
Place the strawberries onto the parchment paper lined plate as you work.
Once all your strawberries are covered in chocolate, move them to the fridge to set for an hour.
Using the Optional Add-ins:
White Chocolate Drizzle- For the white chocolate, complete the recipe above and let chill for an hour as directed. Set up a double boiler just as you did for the dark chocolate, but this time melt the white chocolate. Then drizzle over the chocolate covered strawberries.
Sprinkles and Nuts- Before the chocolate sets on the strawberries, sprinkle them with sprinkles or nuts. Then chill in the fridge as directed.
