This vegan hot chocolate comes with yummy toppings and add-ins, and is the most decadent hot chocolate you've ever made!If you don't like or don't have cinnamon, you can skip it. Or you can add a dash of cinnamon powder or pumpkin pie spice to the milk in it's place. Special Tip: If you need this recipe to be vegan, be sure to get the vegan cocoa powder and chocolate chips. But if a vegetarian hot chocolate is good, regular will be find for you.
Add the almond milk and cinnamon sticks to a small sauce pot.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat to the lowest setting and simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove the cinnamon sticks and add in the cocoa, chocolate chips, sugar, and vanilla. Whisk well until the chocolate melts and the milk gets a bit frothy.
Pour into a mug and serve hot with your favorite toppings or add-ins.
