This Homemade Pistachio Milk Recipe requires just 2 ingredients and is so easy to make.
I like to add additional ingredients from time to time, so I have also supplied ingredients for sweetening, spicing, or making vanilla pistachio milk recipes.

With just 2 ingredients, you’ll want to make this homemade nut milk all the time. Just make sure to get shelled and unsalted pistachios for the best homemade nut milk.
Shopping List for Pistachio Milk Recipes:
- 1 cup dry pistachio nuts (unsalted with shells removed)
- 4 cups water
Optional Add-Ins:
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon agave
- 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice
How to Make Pistachio Milk
I recommend using a high speed blender to make this pistachio nut milk. Alternatively you could blend 1 cup of water with the pistachios in a low grade blender, then once smooth, add in the remaining milk and blend.
How To Make Homemade Pistachio Milk:
- Add the pistachios to a bowl of large measuring cup.
- Cover with water, plus an additional 1/2 cup of water so they are well submerged.
- Soak for 6-12 hours in the fridge.
- After soaking drain and add the soaked pistachios to a blender along with 4 cups of water.
- Blend until smooth.
- While the nuts blend, add a fine mesh strainer to the top of a large bowl, and if you want a well strained pistachio milk, line the strainer with cheesecloth.
- Pour the blended nut milk into the strainer, then move to a glass pitcher or jars.
- Will hold for 5 days in the fridge, you can also freeze in ice cube molds.
