Vegan Waffle Ingredients:

Dry Waffles Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour (All-purpose or Gluten Free)
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Wet Waffles Ingredients:

  • 2 flax eggs – 2 tablespoon flax seed meal + 4 tablespoons water (directions below)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 ¾ cups Unsweetened Almond Milk

  1. Sliced Peaches
  2. Chopped Berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)

How to Make Vegan Waffles

Making these vegan waffles is so easy, and prepping them for later is a great way to have healthy plant based breakfasts on hand anytime.

Meal Prep Directions:

  1. Make the waffles according to the directions (less the toppings) and let cool completely. 
  2. Wrap 1-2 of the waffles in parchment paper, then another 1-2, and so on until you have a stack of parchment paper wrapped waffles.
  3. Add them to a freezer bag, and freeze. 
  4. When it’s time to serve, take out one set of waffles, pop them in the toaster and toast to desired crispiness.
  5. Add any toppings and serve hot.
  6. Will hold in the freezer for up to a month.

How to Make Vegan Waffle Recipes:

  1. To make the Flax Eggs: combine 2 Tablespoons ground flax mixed with 4 Tablespoons water in a small bowl. Set aside for 5-10 minutes to thicken.
  2. Preheat the waffle maker
  3. In one bowl combine the dry waffles ingredients, in a separate bowl combine the wet waffle ingredients.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and combine.
  5. Pour 1/3 cup of waffles batter onto the preheated waffle maker, and close.
  6. Cook until golden on the outside. (Most waffles makers will have a notification that they are done.)
  7. Continue with the remaining batter. Recipe makes 10 waffles.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
