I prefer unsweetened almond milk in my vegan lattes, but there are lots to choose from and you can absolutely use your favorite.
10 Vegan Latte Milks:
- Almond milk (unsweetened, sweetened, or vanilla all work)
- Oat Milk
- Coconut Milk (get the refrigerated stuff, not the canned)
- Soy Milk
- Cashew Milk
- Walnut Milk
- Sesame Milk

- Pea Milk
- Flax Milk
Vegan Latte Ingredients

If you choose to get a sweetened milk, skip adding any sugar. And if you get a vanilla milk (like vanilla almond milk) you can also skip the vanilla extract.
Vegan Latte Ingredients:
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1 cup vegan milk of (your choice see above for 10 options)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons sugar sugar in the raw, or maple syrup (optional)
How to Make a Vanilla Latte Vegan
You can make these vegan lattes hot, or cold. And I have supplied you with the directions on both below.
Special Tip: If the foam is not important to you, you can skip the whisking and just warm the milk.
How to Make Vegan Latte:
- To a small sauce pan add the milk, and sugar. Heat over medium low heat.
- Once warmed, add in the vanilla extract, and whisk briskly and constantly to create foam.
- Remove from heat, pour over the top of your prepared coffee and serve.
- Iced Latte Modification: If you want to make this an iced latte, mix the sugar in with the coffee while it’s still hot (so it dissolves). To a tall glass filled with ice add the coffee, milk of your choice and vanilla extract. Mix well and serve cold.
