- Hearts of romaine (or one head of romaine)
- Vegan Mozzarella Cheese Shreds (optional)
- Vegan Croutons (see below)
- Vegan Caesar Dressing (see below)

- Vegan bread
- Olive Oil Spray
- Garlic salt
- Fresh parsley (or dried parsley)
Vegan Caesar Dressing:
- Unsweetened cashew yogurt
- Dijon mustard
- Balsamic vinegar
- Lemon juice
- Garlic
- Salt and pepper
- Vegan Parmesan (optional)
How to Make Plant Based Caesar Salad
This recipe is quick and easy, and can even be meal prepped! Just make the dressing and croutons and store them separately, and add them both right before serving.
How to Make Vegan Caesar Salads:
Make the Croutons:
- Preheat the oven to 350° and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the bread into small cubes.
- Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet, and spray them lightly with olive oil.
- Sprinkle with garlic salt and parsley.
- Bake for 10 minutes until slightly crispy (they will crisp up more as they cool).
- Cool on a plate while you make the salads.
Make the Salad Dressing:
- To a medium bowl combine all the ingredients for salad dressing.
- Mix well. If too thick, add 1 tablespoon of water at a time until you reach your desired thickness.
- Taste, and add more salt or pepper as needed.
- Set aside to marinate while you finish the salads.
Vegan Caesar Salad Directions:
- Wash and chop the romaine lettuce and add to a large bowl (or 4 individual bowls/meal prep containers).
- Add the prepared Caesar Dressing and toss well to combine.
- Sprinkle 1/2 of the cheese over the top, and add 1/2 of the prepared croutons. Toss well to combine.
- Serve topped with remaining vegan parmesan cheese and croutons.
