These Vegan Biscuits and Gravy Recipe taste just like the real thing, and with my amazing vegan biscuits it may just be better than the traditional recipe!
Make this as a weekend breakfast, or make the biscuits ahead of time for a meal prep breakfast. The gravy takes just 10 minutes to whip up.
I like to use almond milk in the gravy recipe, but you couple use any unsweetened and unflavored plant based milk to make the gravy.

You can use your favorite vegan breakfast sausage in this recipe, and if you are not a fan of it. Cook up 2 cups of mushrooms seasoned with salt, pepper and a pinch of sage. They will mimic the flavor of the sausages.

How to Make Vegan Biscuits and Gravy
If whisking in the skillet is hard or may harm the skillet, heat 1/2 cup of milk in the microwave and whisk in the flour. Then move the mixture to the skillet. I wouldn’t want you ruining a nonstick skillet with a metal whisk.
How to Make Plant Based Biscuits and Gravy:
- Spray a skillet with olive oil and heat over medium heat.
- Add in the sausages and cook through, then remove to a plate to cool.
- Add the flour to the skillet and 1/2 cup of milk. Whisk together until you have no lumps, then add the remaining almond milk and cook, mixing often until thick, about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile chop or crumble the cooked vegan sausage.
- Once the gravy is thick, add in the crumbled vegan sausage, salt and pepper and mix well.
- Taste and add in more salt or pepper as needed.
- Serve over hot Vegan Biscuits.
